Seen: A new element of style. Some creative folks in the Netherlands have created a font that uses up to 20% less ink. Get it free for your computer here. (Thanks to DailyCandy for the tip-off).
Heard: Imperiled bird songs. Audubon published a beautiful and frightening article about Canada’s endangered boreal forest and the North American birds that depend on it for survival. Read about it, and hear the birds sing, at the Boreal Songbird Initiative’s important website.

Way to spot a couple of hot topics! If only I could print my thesis in the ecofont. Also, I’m glad to see Audubon Magazine put out an article which really pulls a reader in and shows them what the boreal forest is all about while painting the very real picture of what is happening to the breeding grounds for millions of North America’s songbirds.
The new echo font is COOL!
ECHO FONT ROX!
~I WONDER HOW IT WILL LOOK WHEN PHOTOCOPIED?
I might start using it all the time!
